Nantcol Holiday Cottage, Llanbedr, Snowdonia

Nantcol is off the beaten track, nestled amongst the ancient Rhinog Mountains. Surrounded by rugged farmland, old stone walls and twisting lanes, a holiday in Nantcol is bound to recharge your batteries, and you will rediscover the pleasures of simple living. This is the kind of place where you will be able to enjoy everything the glorious outdoors has to offer,  cycling, walking  this is just that kind of place! The cottage itself is crammed with character and charm. Wooden beams galore and wonderful olde worlde style country cottage furnishings and decor – What is there not to love?

The sitting room is the hub of the house with a large double ended sitting area and open fire to snuggle around after a day out exploring. Due to the remote location of this cottage, there is no TV signal however there is a TV to play DVD’s and a smart music centre.

The well equipped farmhouse kitchen with an electric stove, AGA, fridge / freezer, microwave and washer / dryer and dining table & chairs to seat 8 people comfortably..

There is a bathroom upstairs, with a bath, loo, two heated towels  and wash hand basin. There is a second loo outside the back kitchen door.

Three bedrooms, all upstairs. The Hayloft as it is known, has three single beds and a cot and is accessed through the second bedroom which is a double. Across the landing is the third bedroom with two single beds. An outside stone staircase leads to The Hayloft.

The half acre garden is enclosed by traditional dry stone walls. Beyond that is open countryside and mountains just waiting to be explored.

The heating is by two coal fires so please be prepared to manage them during your stay for your comfort. There are electric radiators available too.

Plenty of parking at the side of the house.

Short breaks accepted all year round, although not during the high season. Nantcol is closed in January and February.

Please note there is a charge for electricity to be paid separately. A meter reading is taken before and after your stay and that amount is deducted from the security deposit.
