Be prepared!

So, here at Paws in North Wales, we enjoy a good walk, but having four dogs all looking for mischief to get into when we are out and about, we have learned to be prepared for most eventualities. Now, you might laugh, but we have two small rucksacks, one for us, one for the dogs. This is a list of what we take with us when we head off out on any long treks!

For the dogs’ bag

Tweezers – In case of any thorns in little paws!

Poobags – For the inevitable!

Bottled water, small plastic bowl & a few dog biscuits – Your dogs need refreshments too

Anti sting cream – In the event of a wasp sting or nettles

Mini scissors – To cut out any impossible twigs – Archie managed to completely entangle himself once in bushes!

A towel in the car for drying off

In our bag

Painkillers / mini first aid kit

Water

Plasters

Snacks

Thin waterproof jacket

An OS map of the area

Mobile phones
Take nothing but memories, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time!
