Dog friendly beer gardens you may not know about!

Brilliant dog friendly beer gardens you may not know about!

The warmer evenings are around the corner, the scorching weekends are almost here! There is nothing we love more than going out for a cold beer and a bite to eat with the family – and that includes our furry friends – Archie, Dennis, Florence and Frank! These fabulous dog friendly beer gardens are definately on our list!

The Pilot Boat, Dulas

If you have dogs and children with you, this is might just be the place for you! Dogs are allowed in the beer garden, however not allowed inside the pub. The children will be perfectly happy to play for hours, in the playbus at the bottom of the garden where the kiddies can burn off some energy! Happy, tired children means happy, relaxed parents! Dulas is between Moelfre and Amlwch so plenty to do afterwards!

Anglesey Arms, Caernarfon

If sea views are what you are after, this is a lovely spot. In the warmer months, the picnic tables sat outside this pub on the edge of the harbour make it just perfect. You can watch the boats coming into the harbour. Dogs are welcome both inside and outside, although it can get very busy there on a hot day! The ‘beer garden’ is more of a terrace / sitting out area than actual garden, not enclosed, however just so nice we had to include it on our list!

Y Victoria – Llanbedr

This beautiful Inn sits on the riverbank in this picturesque village of Llanbedr. In the summer months, the garden is awash with flowers and so pretty you won’t want to leave! The sound of the river tinkling by is so relaxing and the garden is lawned so fido will be comfortable too!

The Ysgethin – Tal Y Bont

Many moons ago this was our ‘local’ pub. The pretty beer garden is well tended and in the spring time is bursting with flowers! Dogs are welcome outside at the bistro style tables, although not inside the pub.

Y Bryncynan – Nefyn

This 200 year old Country pub is one of the most welcoming on the Lleyn. There is a great play area for the children with plenty of space to sit out and enjoy the evening sunshine. We have always felt very welcome here and had decent pub grub!

The Harp, Llandwrog, nr Dinas Dinlle

After a day at Dinas Dinlle beach with the children, we used to frequent The Harp regularly back in the day. Dogs are not allowed inside the pub, however they are welcome in the lovely beer garden at the back. Llandwrog is such a pretty village, it is well worth a stop after a day at the beach, and The Harp seems like the obvious pit stop!

Anglesey Arms, Menai Bridge

This lovely pub is the first place you see as you cross the Menai Suspension bridge onto Anglesey. Located just on the edge of the roundabout, you may be quite surprised to know that there is a great balcony and lawned beer garden at the back so plenty of space for your family and furry friends to relax with a cool beer or wine spritzer after a long drive.
